Artillery Combat School
The Artillery Combat School (ArtSS) trains specialist officers (SOU) with a focus on indirect fire, reserve officers (ROU), officers (OP) during VFU, and Tactical Training Army (TakA) for future captains, among others. The school also trains specialist officers and officers with a focus on Ground Combat. Due to significantly higher student volumes and the school's assumption of responsibility for the entire SOU, the need for competence in indirect fire has increased considerably.
ArtSS also leads method development within the function of indirect fire and sets requirements for future artillery systems.
Main Responsibilities
As a staff officer at ArtSS, you will be part of the staff together with the chief of staff, quartermaster, technical manager, and an administrator. Together, you are responsible for leading, planning, executing, and following up on the activities at ArtSS.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed and approved officer, specialist, or reserve officer training.
- Driver's license B
- Approved result FM FySS basic level

Employment type: permanent or fixed-term RO2 employment. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Employment degree: full-time
Salary: individual salary setting according to the Swedish Armed Forces' agreement. For reserve officers who are state employees, the salary supplement agreement applies.
Work location: Boden
Start date: by agreement.
Working hours are primarily weekdays 07:30-16:30, but weekend and evening work may occur. Business trips are part of the job. The position is military and entails wartime placement. To meet the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards, physical training is included as part of your job responsibilities.

Boden's Artillery Regiment, A 8, is the Swedish Armed Forces' competence center for indirect fire. The regiment preserves and develops competencies, equipment, and methods for the future capability to detect and hit targets at long distances and with high precision. A 8 has functional responsibility for CAS (Close Air Support) - leading air support against ground targets and for weather services within the Army in the Swedish Armed Forces. Combat in winter conditions is a special competence for the unit in Boden.
