Norrbotten Wing, F 21, is Sweden's northernmost wing, with its main base in Luleå and sub-bases in Jokkmokk and Vidsel. F 21's mission is to deliver air operational effect through the fighter squadrons and JAS39. F 21 has one of the world's largest air exercise areas used by both Swedish Air Force units and units from other countries.
Applying Unit
The Field Maintenance Platoon is part of the R3 Company F 21. The company is responsible for the operation of three airports, one of which is operational 24/7, all year round. The airport maintenance at Kallax Airport is an important part of the airport operations and ensures availability and flight safety for both civilian and military aviation.
The main task of the Field Maintenance Platoon is to conduct field maintenance services such as snow removal, ice control, and wildlife exclusion. Other tasks include repairing damage to runways or other surfaces, fieldwork, and clearing unexploded ammunition.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities as a staff assistant at the Field Maintenance Platoon involve supporting the platoon leader and platoon management with various administrative tasks and handling incoming and outgoing information in various command support systems. You will also participate in preparations and execution of exercises, in various roles as staff assistant or commander. The position may involve periods of absence for exercises and business trips, both within Sweden and abroad.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Completed military basic training (GU) with passing grades or alternative military service with passing grades.
- Good computer skills, Office package.
- Driving license B.

- High personal maturity as the position requires significant judgment and integrity.
- Good ability to work in a team.
- Good ability to prioritize to deliver quality materials within given time constraints.
- High learning ability due to intensive training and exercises.
- High flexibility as the exercise and operational environment is often dynamic.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE
- Approved position training for the applied position.
- Experience in administration/administrative tasks.
- Trained staff assistant.
- Service in a military staff at a tactical level.
- Military driving licenses.
- Additional driving license categories.

Other
Temporary full-time employment. The employment is governed by the Armed Forces' agreement for group leaders, soldiers, and sailors (GSS/K), starting with a 6-month probationary period that transitions into an employment of up to 8 years, with the possibility of extension for 4 years.
