Your Mission

Alingsås Vocational School is now seeking an engaged teacher in Swedish levels 1, 2, and 3 as well as English level 6 for our vocational programs. The employment is fixed-term for 6 months with the possibility of extension or further employment.

You will teach and guide our students in the common upper secondary courses in Swedish and English. Together with colleagues, you will be part of a team consisting of both subject teachers and vocational teachers. We see you as an important part of the school's development work where teaching is closely linked to the students' future professional lives.

In addition to teaching, mentorship and other common tasks may be included, similar to other teachers at the school.

About the School

Alingsås Vocational School is a growing school with about 90 students in the programs Hairdressing, Vehicle and Transport. We offer vocational training where theory and practice are combined – both at school and in workplaces.

Our teaching is characterized by closeness, flexibility, and practical learning. The collegial collaboration is strong, and we work closely together between vocational subjects and common upper secondary subjects. Here, you will meet students with great creativity and a clear focus on working life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed upper secondary teacher in Swedish (levels 1–3) and/or English (level 6)
• has a good ability to meet students based on their different conditions
• is secure, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership
• shares the school's core values and wants to work closely with students

Meritorious:

• qualification in additional subjects
• experience teaching in vocational programs

Great importance is placed on personal qualities.
