About the Workplace

We are looking for a preschool teacher who, with commitment and curiosity, wants to develop teaching and learning together with educators and children, and actively contribute to collegial learning within the team.

In Ale, we actively work to build a learning organization, and all educators are part of collegial learning communities.

In these forums, we quality-develop our preschools for the children of Ale. In both municipality-wide forums, as well as in unit-specific forums, colleagues meet and learn together based on current research.

Right now, we are learning together about the professional role and leadership of preschool teachers - leading teams and how we can develop our pedagogical learning environments.

Storgården Preschool has over 70 enrolled children divided into younger and older groups. The preschool is located in Nödinge center near green areas, commuter train station, library, and Ale square.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a preschool teacher who is well acquainted with the preschool's educational mission and who wants to work based on our shared view of children and our approach.

At Storgården Preschool, we start from the belief that children do right if they can. Our mission as educators is to create an environment where every child is given the very best conditions to succeed in their lifelong learning. The children's curiosity, thoughts, and questions are the driving force in our teaching, and we educators are co-researchers on their journey.

We work to give children a safe and joyful start in life and strive for children, educators, and guardians to feel involved and have influence over both everyday life and the development of the organization.

As a preschool teacher with us, you participate in joint reflection on the mission every week. Your thoughts, experiences, and ideas are an important part of our systematic quality work and contribute to developing education at our preschool.

We use Unikum as a digital learning platform, where you are expected to plan, document, follow up, and evaluate teaching. Pedagogical documentation and reflection are central tools in our work, and we place great importance on them.

Right now, we have a particular focus on developing changing learning environments and a project-based working method. For us, a vibrant operation means that the learning environments are constantly evolving based on the children's needs and interests. Here, children meet in an accepting, safe, and developing environment where their perspectives are taken seriously.

Qualifications

  • You are a licensed preschool teacher.
  • You are curious, engaged, and have a desire to develop in your pedagogical work.
  • You have a clear focus on children's learning and want to share our approach.
  • You see reflection in pedagogical leadership as a necessity.
  • You are active in developing a stimulating learning environment and have methods to see the individual child's need for challenge.
  • You have very good knowledge of governing documents and current research and have a good ability to translate this knowledge into practice.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment process.
