School Guardian at Lexby School

We are now looking for a school guardian at Lexby School.

This role means that you will be a visible and secure adult in the school environment. As a school guardian, you will be present in the corridors and the café, but you can also be involved in situations where students need extra support and help. A large part of the role involves being available to students, especially during breaks, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and meaningful school day.

You will manage café operations and various activities together with a student coach and help create meaningful activities for the school's students outside of lesson time. The role also includes participating in the school's equal treatment team and contributing to safety and well-being activities. As a school guardian, you will serve as social support for the students and contribute to good relationships and a positive climate at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a completed high school education. It is advantageous if you are trained as a leisure leader, social pedagogue, or have another equivalent education. Previous experience in similar roles, such as a school guardian or student assistant, is also considered beneficial. We view experience or interest in sports, music, or other cultural expressions positively. A B driver's license is also advantageous.

We are looking for someone who easily builds good relationships and is confident in your communication with both students and colleagues. You are relationship-building, proactive, and have a good ability to collaborate and build trust, especially with young people. As a person, you are cheerful, outgoing, and positive with a genuine interest in youth and youth culture - such as music, sports, and gaming culture. You have high personal maturity, take responsibility for your work, and are flexible based on the needs of the organization. You are organized and capable of planning and executing activities for students.
