About the Organization

Upphärad School is a rural and idyllic one-parallel F-5 school with about 65 students, close to nature.

Job Responsibilities

You will participate as a teacher in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the curriculum and operational goals for grades F-3. You should be well acquainted with your teaching assignment based on current governing documents and have good knowledge of planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing the educational activities together with the team. Using the curriculum as a basis, you choose methods, content, and responses based on each student's knowledge, experience, and specific conditions. Together with other colleagues at the school, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each student and for the entire group. We are looking for a curious teacher and colleague who contributes to a calm and harmonious collaborative environment during our students' school day.

The position includes a 50% teaching assignment with instruction two days a week in grades 2-3, with the possibility of extending up to 100% through a combined position where the remaining time is allocated to the after-school program and the class you teach.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in F-3. You are positive and engaged, well-grounded in the school's values, have a good attitude, and are passionate about stimulating students' learning. You are well acquainted with the organization's governing documents and current research on student learning. You have a formative approach and analyze, evaluate, and develop the activities based on students' needs.

You find it easy to collaborate, recognize the importance of collegial learning, and actively contribute to the development of the organization together with your colleagues. You place great importance on good relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians. Personal suitability is highly valued!
