Description

Fuxernaskolan 7–9 in Lilla Edet Municipality is looking for an engaged and experienced special teacher, preferably with a focus on mathematics development.

It is an advantage if you also have a focus in another subject such as Swedish. We are looking for someone with strong pedagogical competence who is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can develop. In your work, you will base your approach on research and proven experience to promote students' knowledge development and contribute to a strong learning environment both at the individual level and in the classroom.

As a special teacher, you will work closely with the school's student health team, special educator, management, as well as with students and their guardians to create conditions for each student's learning and goal fulfillment. You will have part of your work located in the teaching room "Lugnet", where you collaborate with resource staff to create a safe, structured, and adapted learning environment for students in need of special support. In the future, you may also have part of your work in Fuxernaskolan's SU group.

Responsibilities

• Map and analyze students' knowledge development, identify barriers to learning, and propose adjustments and measures to promote their development.
• Review and develop learning environments to create inclusive teaching that gives all students the opportunity to achieve their educational goals.
• Teach and support students primarily in mathematics and Swedish, based on their individual needs. Work both at the individual and group level.
• Participate in the development of the school's pedagogical work by contributing your expertise in mathematics development and special education.
• Work operationally with evaluation and follow-up of action programs and document students' development.
• Maintain close cooperation with students and guardians to ensure that the interventions are relevant and sustainable in the long term.

Qualifications

• Licensed special teacher, preferably with a focus on mathematics.
• Experience working as a special teacher at the secondary school level.
• Ability to map and analyze students' knowledge development and create inclusive learning environments based on research and proven experience.
• Experience working with action programs, as well as conducting systematic investigations and follow-ups.
• Competence to work from a relational perspective and contribute to a safe, accessible, and motivating learning environment for students.
