Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four emergency hospitals. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock. The operations department operates 24/7, with approximately 70 percent of the activities being emergency-related. We perform a wide range of emergency and elective procedures, both long and short operations. The operations department in Helsingborg is divided into three sections: orthopedics, surgery (including vascular surgery), and a section containing ear, gynecology/obstetrics, urology, as well as jaw and dental patients. Anesthesia also covers jaw surgery, eye surgery, pediatric dental care, and during endoscopy and radiological examinations. As an anesthetist nurse with us, you will be part of a team that rotates between the different sections at regular intervals.

We are over 130 employees distributed among anesthetist nurses, operating room nurses, nursing assistants, anesthesiologists, and operating technicians. Our operational area also includes a day surgery department, recovery department/ICU/IMA, sterile technical department, and Ängelholm's operating department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an anesthetist nurse, you work with pre- and perioperative care, medical technology, and nursing documentation. You work with one patient at a time and are responsible for anesthesia in collaboration with an anesthesiologist, as well as participating in pre- and post-operative work. With your skills and experience, you help our patients feel safe both before and during surgery. As a team member and anesthetist nurse, you are an important piece of the puzzle in striving to work together with other staff to offer the patient the best possible care where they feel well taken care of.

With us, you plan your shifts according to a business-adapted wish schedule. The work involves day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. We have a working hours model based on the number of hours worked during inconvenient working hours, and when working during inconvenient hours, you receive a reduction in working hours.

The introduction is tailored individually based on your previous experiences, and during the introduction, you will work daytime. In the department, we offer four development days per year, annual training in CPR, and opportunities for trauma training.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare and who have specialized training in anesthetic nursing. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. It is advantageous if you have experience working in an operating department with a mix of elective and emergency activities. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of the journal systems Orbit and Melior.
