Fågelbacken is a centrally located health center in the Slottstaden district of Malmö. We have over 30 employees with various professions. The group of physiotherapists consists of five colleagues, and other professional groups include nurses/specialist nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, and occupational therapists. We have a district nurse reception and nurse-led clinics for diabetes and asthma/COPD.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist, you will be the first instance for assessments of patients with pain, injuries, and functional impairments. Together with the patient, and if necessary, colleagues from other professional groups, you will develop a treatment plan. Job responsibilities include implementing disease prevention interventions, providing acute treatment for pain and/or injury, and working with functional improvement and functional maintenance measures. The goal is to provide the patient with the conditions to become independent in managing their health problem based on the assessed problem and functional ability. You will also assist other professional categories in diagnosing and planning further treatment based on the patient's symptoms and needs.

In the unit, we strive to work with high accessibility and stepwise care, which allows us to meet help-seeking patients at an early stage with close collaboration with other professional categories. We work according to the model for team-based care. This means that we have interdisciplinary rounds every week to strengthen collaboration around patients with more complex needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a physiotherapist with us, you are expected to offer advice, assessment, and treatment, both individually and in groups. In your role, it is important that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues while having the ability to work independently and make your own decisions. We also value your commitment to driving development work within your professional role.

Regarding formal qualifications, we welcome you as a licensed physiotherapist with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. We prefer that you have experience from previous primary care work. If you have training and experience in OMI or other further education in orthopedics, we consider it an advantage. Training and experience in torticollis/children, acupuncture, neurological diseases, and Basic Body Awareness are also advantageous.
