Welcome to Trelleborg Hospital, the small hospital with a big heart! Trelleborg Hospital, with its more than 640 employees, is a personal hospital with great opportunities. We provide specialized basic healthcare for a catchment area of 120,000 residents. Here, it is easy to influence, which makes us adaptable to change.

Our operating unit is run in close collaboration with Skåne University Hospital (Sus). There are currently seven operating rooms and two treatment rooms where we perform elective orthopedic surgeries on both adults and children, as well as ear, nose, and throat surgeries. We also have a sterile technical unit where all instrument handling takes place. With us, all employees have an influence on their work as we believe that you and your colleagues know best how to provide good and personal care to our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nursing assistant in the operating unit, you are an important resource for both the surgical team and the patient. Together with the operating nurse, you are responsible for preparing the room and all technical equipment before the operation. You assist with the setup and provide the team with instruments and materials during the operation. After the operation, you ensure that instruments and goods are prepared for washing and that the room is set up for the next patient. Your responsibilities also include working in the sterile unit.

As a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction based on your previous experiences. We assume that everyone has an individual learning process and see it as a given that you will receive support from colleagues to become confident in your new role. Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with some evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures, preferably with a focus on emergency care/healthcare. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We also see that you have good knowledge of the English language. Previous work experience in an operating environment is an advantage.

As a person, you are calm, attentive, and responsible with a willingness and ability to help others. Additionally, you enjoy working in a team and have an interest in technical equipment within healthcare. Since we work in teams, it is important that you have good collaboration skills.
