Are you looking for an active job where you meet people and make a difference every day?

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with care, competence, and commitment when it matters most.

What we offer you!

Working as a care assistant in home care means that you meet our care recipients in their own homes. The work is practical, varied, and at times physically demanding. You move between care recipients, often by bike or car, and assist with both care and service in the home.

The job requires you to be able to walk up stairs, bend down, lift, and sometimes work in tight spaces. There may also be heavier tasks, such as cleaning, carrying groceries, or assisting care recipients with transfers between bed and wheelchair.

You follow basic hygiene routines, wear work clothes, and maintain a respectful and professional demeanor towards care recipients, colleagues, relatives, and others we meet in our work.

This is what you will be working with:

  • Assisting with personal care, such as showering, hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits
  • Preparing or reheating simple meals and serving food
  • In the role, you will administer medication, which means you need to receive delegation from authorized personnel
  • Assisting with cleaning, laundry, bed-making, and waste sorting
  • Shopping and accompanying on errands
  • Providing social support, conversations, and walks
  • Documenting in digital systems and reporting according to SBAR to ensure good quality and safe care
  • Collaborating with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists as needed
  • Being a contact person or primary care contact and planning how services will be carried out together with the individual

The municipality of Hässleholm wants to create the best conditions for a sustainable working life, so that you can thrive, feel good, and experience job satisfaction. An important part is to offer good benefits to our employees, such as wellness grants and the opportunity to exchange vacation day allowances for days off.

Who are you?

You are a trained care assistant. You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both in reading, speaking, and writing. We prefer that you have experience in care work, but it is not a requirement. To get around the area, you need a B driver's license for a manual transmission car and be able to cycle.

We value your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is secure, flexible, and takes responsibility for their own tasks. You have a good ability to build relationships with a respectful and helpful demeanor and have an understanding of other people's needs and feelings.

You share the values and approaches described in our employee and leadership policy.
