About Us

Head chef wanted at Innovitaskolan Segeltorp.

We are looking for a passionate and creative chef who knows that appearance is just as important as taste when it comes to food and buffet service.

As the head chef at Innovitaskolan Segeltorp, you will lead the creation of attractive, varied, and healthy meals and accompaniments based on the season and according to the central meal policy. The role includes some salad preparation, service, and replenishment in the dining hall, as well as purchasing, planning, special dietary management, and hiring substitutes as needed. We value order and cleanliness and are looking for someone with a similar mindset.

The kitchen was renovated a couple of years ago and is directly connected to our pleasant dining hall.

Responsibilities

Together with your colleague, you will create the best conditions for serving a delightful school meal. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the offerings and service together with your colleague and the school principal. We are looking for someone who appreciates collaboration both within the kitchen team and with the school staff, all for the benefit of the children and students.

You have broad competence in cooking methods and circular cooking. We follow AcadeMedia's guidelines for meals, which means a green focus where the meal is a valued and anticipated break in the school day.

Job Duties

You will work in daily production and are someone who thrives in a small team. You and your colleague inspire each other and together create a workplace where you enjoy and grow together.

Qualifications

You are a trained chef with at least a couple of years of experience from restaurants or large kitchens.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience with budget responsibility in the kitchen
• Is responsible and punctual
• Has an easy time collaborating
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Can handle the common functions of the Office suite
• Has a good sense of taste and is confident in production volumes

You are flexible in your tasks and can just as easily stir pots as be visible in the dining hall.

To succeed, you are well-organized, accommodating, and team-oriented. You have a great passion for the profession and a burning interest in contributing to a world-class school restaurant!

Other

The position is daytime, Monday to Friday, and is a permanent employment (holiday position). We apply a 6-month probationary period.
