We currently have a great need to hire more substitute kitchen assistants for work in schools and preschools. We offer work on weekdays (Monday-Friday) during daytime hours (approx. 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM), and some evenings and weekends may also occur.

As a substitute kitchen assistant at BILDA, you will work in a kitchen at a preschool or school in a large kitchen. In schools, it is often a larger kitchen with several people working together. In preschool kitchens, you usually work alongside a chef. As a kitchen assistant, you are responsible for independently or with other staff preparing and serving lunch to the students. Sometimes other meals, such as breakfast and snacks, are also included.

In some kitchens, food must be prepared from scratch, while in others, it is only reheating food. You are also responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, which includes washing dishes and wiping surfaces.

BILDA has a collective agreement, offers an introductory training, and provides ongoing coaching support and dialogue with a designated contact person at BILDA.

To work as a substitute kitchen assistant, you need:

• Experience working in a kitchen
• Training in food hygiene
• Interest in food and cooking
• Flexible and responsive
• Ability to speak and write Swedish
• Willingness to travel approximately 1 hour to your assignment
