About the position
Our mission is to provide specialized and highly specialized healthcare. Our vision - “We will cure and relieve tomorrow what no one can cure and relieve today” - guides our work to create value for patients, society, and medical advancements.
A crucial prerequisite for the future of healthcare is modernized information structures and increased digitalization, where care and production are increasingly driven by data with digital decision support. This includes data from radiation therapy, imaging diagnostics, surgeries, medications, and genomics, which together enable more precise diagnoses and personalized treatments.
The Department of Health Informatics and Healthcare Systems is responsible for managing health data and mission-critical IT solutions that healthcare relies on in its daily work. Our goal is to provide the best possible IT support to healthcare by simplifying workflows and developing new technical solutions in line with the transformation of healthcare.
As a trainee, you will become part of our informatics team of about 15 people. We work agilely and in delivery teams with developer teams, information architects, IT architects, and you will participate in projects aimed at solving real challenges within the healthcare sector. The trainee program not only provides you with knowledge in data-driven healthcare and research, where your expertise is needed to drive successful solutions, but also an insight into the daily work, challenges, and digitalization needs of healthcare operations.
The program begins with a general introduction to various work areas. You will then have the opportunity to drive your own project and/or be part of ongoing projects. Some examples of work areas include needs and requirements management, conceptual modeling, information modeling, logical data modeling, and mapping information to established concept systems, such as Snomed CT and standards for data sharing and interoperability, such as OpenEHR and FHIR.
We also work on the development and management of information specifications and create understanding for implemented models and how these should be utilized for data storage.
