Project Leader for the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC)
At FRA, we work on something that no one else does in Sweden, and you can be a part of it. Regardless of your professional role, we contribute to societal benefit through meaningful purposes — together we work on unique tasks for Sweden's security and integrity.
We offer interesting tasks with good opportunities for personal development, and we are convinced that a mix of people from different backgrounds creates a dynamic and creative work environment – our differences are our strength.
Do you want to contribute to society and strengthen Sweden's collective ability to handle cyber threats? The National Cyber Security Center, NCSC, is looking for a project leader to participate in building up the center's operations at FRA. If you are the one we are looking for, we can offer a varied job in a knowledge-intensive environment where you can make a difference every day.
Your Mission
As a project leader, you will belong to the NCSC department. The department is newly established at FRA and is in a phase of development. As part of the establishment, the unit has been newly created, where development and large expansive expectations allow for significant growth opportunities in the role. Together with another project leader, you will have a significant influence on how the guidelines for the assignments should look. The role involves many internal and external contacts – both with other operations and collaborating authorities.
As a project leader, your responsibility is to lead assignments within NCSC's operational activities. Your main tasks include:
- To be responsible for and lead various assignments within the cyber security area at NCSC
- To lead and coordinate work, both directly and indirectly. This includes leading operations without directly subordinate staff and coordinating and anchoring planning with relevant operations.
- Preparation of assignment and project reports
- To assist in preparations and the development of decision and preparation materials
- Furthermore, the position involves performing other tasks related to the areas of work covered by the position when requested, such as project management.
Travel is required in the position, both domestically and internationally.
The work takes place on-site at NCSC, with the possibility of up to 50% remote work if the job allows. In case of incidents, it may be required that you work at irregular hours.
You Can
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in political science, computer engineering, or another area deemed relevant by the employer, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
- At least 3 years of work experience as a project leader or project manager within IT, IT security, and/or cyber security
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Completed training in project management
- Relevant certification in project management
- Experience working with IT and/or cyber security in the public sector
- Knowledge of the Office suite
- Driving license B
You Are
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Self-driven – You take responsibility for your task, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward.
- Verbal communication – You speak clearly, well-formulated, and engagingly in individual meetings in small and large groups. You listen and are receptive to the other party and adapt to the situation.
- Leadership – You lead, motivate, and empower others to effectively achieve common goals. You coordinate groups and become a reference point for others, creating engagement and participation.
- Structured – You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. You set and adhere to timelines.
