IT Security Specialist

We are now looking for an IT Security Specialist who wants to work with security approval of information systems in mission-critical environments. The role involves contributing to a structured and risk-based IT security effort in close collaboration with projects, management, and decision-makers. About the position

FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) is on an exciting and challenging transformation journey where you as an IT Security Specialist will be an important part of FMV’s information and IT security work.

As an IT Security Specialist, you will work on preparing documentation and conducting reviews for security approvals and accreditation of information systems. You will lead, implement, and follow up on the work with security approvals of IT systems and applications.

You will also work with security protection planning within projects and management, i.e., the work with analyses, plans, and measures taken to investigate what security protection is needed.

You will work with advisory services, supporting projects, management, and decision-makers in interpreting security-related events, assisting in risk assessments, and directing the overall security work.

The position is based in Stockholm. Business travel within Sweden may occur.

About you

We expect you to have an academic degree in IT, system science, or another relevant education in the field, or equivalent competence acquired in another way.

You have several years of work experience in the IT security field and a good understanding of complex information systems and IT environments. We see that you have experience with security approval of IT systems as well as developing, managing, and handling documentation related to IT systems. Furthermore, you have experience working with classified information related to IT systems.

It is advantageous if you have training focused on IT security or equivalent competence acquired in another way, as well as experience in requirements management, development, and management of IT systems.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us. You have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We work to steer the authority within the IT area by planning, implementing, and following up on IT operations within FMV. The IT Development and Management department is responsible for the development and management of applications, both for FMV's own needs and for the Armed Forces.

FMV is an authority under the Ministry of Defence with the Armed Forces as the supervisory authority. We use the Armed Forces' security regulations KSF as the basis for FMV's accreditation method for the security approval of our information systems.
