About the position

In the role of solution architect, you will primarily be responsible for developing, anchoring, and realizing IT solutions in complex environments with demands for security, availability, and quality. You will be involved from the early idea stage to implementation and management, collaborating closely with the business, development, and other architect roles.

The position will include:

• Developing and documenting solution proposals and architecture design based on business needs, security requirements, and established target architecture.
• Analyzing functional and non-functional requirements from a strategic, tactical, and operational perspective, and ensuring traceability between requirements and solutions.
• Designing and quality-assuring solutions that span multiple systems, including integrations within complex Microsoft-based enterprise environments.
• Ensuring that solutions meet requirements for information security, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participating in the implementation, further development, and management of solutions, as well as supporting the handover to operations and management.
• Working closely with business architects, developers, product owners, and enterprise and infrastructure architects to ensure suitable holistic solutions.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation such as architecture descriptions, High Level Design, and Low Level Design.
• Presenting and anchoring recommended solutions with relevant stakeholders at both strategic and operational levels.

You will have the opportunity to develop within solution architecture in a critical societal operation and work with several initiatives and benefit realizations, including related to governance, capacity utilization, and analytical support. The role offers opportunities for knowledge exchange with colleagues who have worked in the field for a long time.

As a solution architect, you will belong to the unit that works with applications for analysis, in the IT department for Power Systems & Electricity Market. The unit consists of approximately 19 employees who have a development team working agilely in projects and management, as well as a working group responsible for architecture within the digital assignment.

About you

Mandatory requirements:

We are looking for someone with an analytical ability to handle complex information and see connections from a holistic perspective. This is because the role involves working in complex IT environments with many dependencies between business, technology, and security requirements. Furthermore, you work in a structured manner, are communicative, collaborate well with others, and have the ability to drive work forward to reach solutions. You should also adhere to the state value base. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a degree in Computer Science, IT, or engineering, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have experience in:

• Current and relevant experience working with IT and information security issues related to IT deliveries
• Current and relevant experience as a solution architect or senior technician responsible for developing, anchoring, and implementing solutions in complex IT environments
• Experience designing solutions with a focus on performance, security, scalability, and compliance.
• Current and relevant experience creating solutions that span multiple systems, including complex and modern Microsoft Enterprise environments
• Knowledge of integration patterns, cloud platforms, and security principles such as IAM and Zero Trust
• Ability to use tools for architecture modeling
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of:

• Certification in IT architecture such as IASA or DFK
• Led or participated in larger change projects that required both technical implementations and changes in working methods and culture
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
• Experience with container technology, such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Work experience as an architect from at least one project where ISO 27001 has been applied
