We are now looking for an experienced and self-driven system administrator for a long-term consulting assignment with a larger organization in public transport and community safety. The assignment is technically advanced, mission-critical, and involves working in an environment where high availability, stable operation, and security are crucial.

Your role

As a system administrator, you will be a key person in a team that builds and manages a new system environment for a modern video management system (VMS). You will work closely with solution architects, developers, and other specialists to create a stable, automated, and future-proof operational environment.

Your responsibilities
  • Build, configure, and manage system environments on Windows and Linux servers (RedHat/Ubuntu)

  • Design and implement Configuration Management for the entire system environment

  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for backend and .NET-based solutions

  • Work with container-based solutions and images

  • Ensure robust logging and monitoring in clustered environments

  • Collaborate in agile teams according to DevOps principles

  • Contribute to high operational reliability in a system that supports real-time safety work

Qualifications (mandatory requirements)

To succeed in this assignment, you need to have:

  • At least 5 years of documented experience in system and application operations in Windows and Linux environments

  • At least 2 years of experience in scripting and automation, e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar

  • Experience from at least one assignment where you designed and implemented configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack, or equivalent) for at least 30 servers in multiple environments

  • Experience from at least two assignments where you designed and implemented CI/CD solutions for .NET or equivalent platforms (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Experience in log management and monitoring in clusters, such as the ELK stack or similar

  • At least 1 year of experience with agile methodologies

  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish in both speech and writing (English is also used)

Desirable experiences

It is a plus if you have:

  • Experience with video management systems, such as Milestone XProtect

  • In-depth practical experience with CI/CD, build automation, or infrastructure for .NET-based solutions

  • Experience with Dependency Injection in application development

Location

The assignment is performed on-site at the office on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Presence is determined by the needs of the organization and the working methods of the agile teams. Equipment and workspace are provided by the client.

Timeline and scope
  • Start: February 26, 2026

  • End: February 25, 2027

  • Scope: 100% (40 hours/week)

  • Extension option: Possibility for extension 1 + 1 year under existing conditions
