Make a difference. Every day.

Are you passionate about psychiatry and want to help develop our area of expertise? The addiction care within Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg is undergoing changes, and through this position, you as a licensed nurse have the opportunity to be part of the transformation process by working at the Adult Psychiatry Clinic for Addiction using the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) model. Welcome to us!

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic for Addiction is one of the subspecialized clinics within the area of operations (VO) Helsingborg. The clinic offers psychiatric health and medical care services in outpatient settings for individuals with substance use disorders, and simultaneously psychiatric comorbidity, of such significance that specialist assessment and specialist care are required. The clinic's mission includes diagnostics/evaluation, care, and treatment of addiction conditions related to alcohol, medication, and narcotics. The clinic employs nurses, social workers, doctors, psychologists, peer support, as well as medical secretaries and occupational therapists.

The FACT model is proven, but new to the clinic since spring 2024, and means that all assessments, evaluations, and treatments of specialist psychiatric issues are based on a recovery-oriented, person-centered approach and standardized psychiatric care processes. The clinic constitutes an internal team, to which we have linked an external team with representatives from the municipalities in our catchment area. By working together with the patient and their network, both the municipality and psychiatry can provide the patient with the right support at the right level and at the right time. The work varies between pre-planned visits with patients, either at the clinic or home visits, as well as acute support interventions for patients needing more intensive support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an engaged nurse to join our team.

As a nurse at the clinic, your work involves both close teamwork and high independence. We focus heavily on recovery and participation. You will work with support, treatment, and medication follow-ups. Your tasks may also include supportive conversations, counseling, and medication distribution. Treatment can occur both individually and in groups. In your work at the clinic, you will continuously perform independent assessments of patients' mental well-being and identify if they need additional interventions. These potential interventions will then be carried out both by you individually and together with other team members. At least one workday a week, you will be part of an acute team that makes urgent visits to our patients. Through daily digital meetings with the external team, a structure for collaboration has been created, which increases the chances of participants receiving the support they need. For some of the team's patients, you will also be a primary care contact, meaning you are the patient's closest contact at the clinic. Patient visits will occur where it benefits the patient best, which means a combination of visits at the clinic, home visits, or visits at another location.

At the addiction clinic, working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
