Your Role

We are looking for a project manager for our project management office who wants to be part of our exciting and challenging work in developing surface vessels and associated products and systems for both the Swedish Navy and foreign customers. As a project manager, you play a key role in our projects and are responsible for driving, steering, and following up on the project to ensure that the project's goals are achieved, all the way from contract to completed delivery. You will be part of a strong project management office with a high ceiling where individuals can develop.

Main Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

• Lead and support the project team and sub-project managers in their work to effectively organize, execute, and manage the project efficiently.
• Be ultimately responsible for the project's progress and delivery.
• Report and maintain an active dialogue with the project's steering group, line managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that the defined project management model with underlying processes is followed within the project and actively contribute to improving these during the project's course.
• Participate and contribute to the long-term development of our project management office and project management capabilities within the entire organization.

Your Profile

The role of project manager requires a person who is driven, results-oriented, and responsible.

You should be accustomed to and enjoy having a leadership role and have good experience coordinating and driving a team towards common goals. Your operational leadership is active and engaging, and you are good at helping team members grow, both in their project engagement and as individuals and leaders.

It is also important that you ensure continuous dialogue and a good tone within the project and in communication with other stakeholders. We would like you to have a good technical understanding with an eye for detail. You are flexible and can adapt to the changes that often occur in complex projects.

Background and Experience Requirements

• University or college degree in engineering, economics, leadership, or other relevant education.
• Extensive experience in project management, either as the main responsible project manager, assistant project manager, or equivalent role.
• Experience in leadership and team building.
• Experience working in companies with similar complex products and systems.
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Certified project management training is an advantage.
• Driving license B

Work location: Karlskrona

The job involves travel both within and outside Sweden.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
