What We Offer You!

We offer a developing job and we are looking for someone who is passionate about meal enjoyment. As a head chef, you will, together with your team of three colleagues, be responsible for the quality of meals and cooking in the kitchen. You will plan and organize the daily work. Hemgården's kitchen prepares about 200 portions per day, 7 days a week.

Your tasks include the preparation and cooking of food, meals, and special diets. Additionally, all tasks that occur in the kitchen and restaurant such as serving, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning are included. You are expected to have a sustainable approach and utilize economic resources effectively. In the role of head chef, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop your work in various workgroups and forums.

You will perform administrative tasks such as ordering, invoice management, and dietary data management. The work includes introducing new employees, and you may also become a mentor for interns, summer workers, and/or participants in various labor market measures.

The position is a permanent employment with a full-time contract of 100% and a working time of 37 hours/week starting as soon as possible or by agreement. You will be placed at Hemgården's elderly care facility in Tyringe.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• has a chef's education or equivalent education assessed by the employer
• has recent work experience as a chef from a restaurant or large kitchen
• has basic knowledge of Microsoft 365
• is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written

We consider it a merit if you:

• have further education in the restaurant or large kitchen industry
• have experience planning and organizing daily work in a large kitchen
• have worked in Matilda or another dietary data system
• have worked in Unit4 or another e-commerce system

You also need to be able to handle physically demanding work with heavier lifting.

As a head chef, you play an important role in our development work within meals. You contribute to building good relationships and collaboration both within your team and with meal guests and employees in the operation where your kitchen is located.

You have a genuine interest in food, meals, and people. The Technical Administration is responsible for creating safe, functional, and sustainable environments for the municipality's residents, employees, and visitors. We work broadly and coordinated within several important service areas including property, streets and parks, meals, and cleaning. With us, you work to make everyday life better for our residents every day.

Within the meal department, about 200 employees work to prepare and serve meals. We are present in preschools, primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and within the care administration. With a focus on service and interaction, we meet the needs of the operation with high competence and quality that is visible.
