The Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NIVA) in Lund provides highly specialized intensive care and is part of the area of operations (VO) for neurosurgery and pain rehabilitation. We have a regional assignment that means we serve the entire Southern healthcare region with highly specialized neuro intensive care. NIVA has six intensive care beds where we primarily care for patients with severe head and/or spinal injuries. NIVA is a high-tech intensive care unit characterized by a desire to achieve medical results of the highest quality.
We are an intermediate unit with four care beds where we care for acute patients and patients in need of extra monitoring. The care needs can vary from advanced care to lighter monitoring. There is also a postoperative unit with four care beds where we provide postoperative care for the unit's newly operated patients. The postoperative unit also cares for newly operated children. We have round-the-clock operations in our operating department, and within the unit, there is also a care ward, day care services, and a reception. Approximately 300 people work in our organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We now welcome two nursing assistants with previous experience in intensive care or emergency care. We offer an exciting and varied work environment with satisfying and challenging tasks. Working as a nursing assistant at NIVA means you will have a varied job with rapid changes. Several research projects are conducted in the department aimed at developing neuro intensive care. The operation is staff-intensive, and we who work here have different competencies, which benefits our operation.
When you start your employment with us, you will be offered an introductory program based on your previous experiences and competencies, as well as the required training. During your initial time with us, you will have two mentors who will guide you through your first period. We actively work with knowledge-seeking and regularly offer lectures and training. Furthermore, we view knowledge development positively and allocate resources for areas of responsibility, projects, and studies at universities and colleges.
We have a popular point salary system where you can request your work schedule.

You should be confident in your professional role and have worked as a nursing assistant for at least two years. Previous experience in intensive care and neurosurgical care is an advantage.
To thrive with us, you are curious and want to learn more about brain and nervous system diseases. As a person, you are humble, have a strong commitment, and a positive attitude.
