Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, individual and family care.
The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and up who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and regular housing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to work closely with patients, have time for personal meetings, and at the same time enjoy the tranquility of the countryside?
As a Nurse within Ystad Municipality's home healthcare, based in Löderup, you have overall responsibility for patient care. In your daily work, you perform medical assessments and are responsible for planning, executing, following up, and evaluating individually tailored care interventions. You prescribe actions based on the patient's needs and ensure that the care maintains high quality.
Your role includes delegating tasks to care staff and acting as a coordinating link between different professions, care levels, and relatives.
You play a key role in planning health and medical care interventions for individuals in need of home care. The work requires both long-term planning and the ability to quickly adapt interventions in response to changes in the patient's health status. An important part of the assignment is to create and maintain a safe and trusting relationship with relatives, which you see as a natural and significant part of the work.
In addition to your regular duties, you also serve as a mentor for nursing students. You actively contribute to their development through support, guidance, and opportunities to strengthen their clinical competence in daily work.
Working hours are mainly scheduled on weekdays, with duties every fifth weekend. During weekend shifts, you work throughout the municipality, which means you meet patients in both special and regular housing, LSS operations, and social psychiatry. This provides you with a wide variety of tasks and the opportunity to develop a versatile competence within municipal health and medical care.
QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive and succeed in the role of Nurse with us, you need to be meticulous, flexible, and have the ability to quickly adapt to changing situations. You work from a holistic perspective where the patient's individual needs are always at the center.
We are looking for a licensed Nurse with basic education and experience in the profession. Experience in home healthcare is considered an advantage and valuable.
A B driver's license and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, are required for the position. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, as the role involves close contact with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
