Kava/ENT is currently under development, and our long-term goal is to open up to 18 to 22 beds. We provide advanced and complex care around the clock. It is a challenging but educational environment where the team around the patient works together towards a common goal. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Kava/ENT, we primarily care for patients with acute surgical diseases/conditions. The most common reasons for admission are various abdominal diagnoses, acute bleeding, and trauma. We also care for a smaller patient group within the ear, nose, and throat specialty, where diagnoses may include jaw surgery, patients with tracheostomy, and facial trauma.

Acute nursing also involves pre- and post-operative care. We receive patients at all hours of the day, and most patients are admitted via the emergency department. The department is also responsible for the Ear, Nose, and Throat emergency department, which is staffed with doctors and nursing assistants.

Evening, night, and weekend shifts are part of the job. We use a wish schedule and work two weekends out of five.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required for the position.

We prefer that you have several years of clinical experience in emergency care, but this is not a requirement. It is also advantageous if you have experience and/or are specialized in the ear, nose, and throat area and/or surgical emergency care. If you have supervisor training and/or experience in mentoring, that is also an advantage for the position.
