The role of the school nurse primarily involves working with preventive healthcare.

Although the job largely consists of working alone, your colleagues are just a phone call away. You will have two main placements, but work may also occur in other primary and secondary schools.

We are an open group where there is room for questions and discussions, and we support each other collegially. During the school term, the work can be intense at times, so we use school holidays for training and administrative tasks.

As a new employee, you will have a mentor for support. We also have medical meetings once a month and supervision 3-4 times per term. Otherwise, you will perform regular school nurse duties according to applicable laws and regulations. You will conduct health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, be responsible for open reception, and participate in the schools' student health teams. Together with other school nurses in the municipality, you will work to develop the medical efforts of student health.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with additional training in healthcare for children and adolescents, open healthcare, or school nursing, or with similar competence or experience. Since travel by car is included in the position, we also require a driver's license for a passenger car.

We consider it an advantage if you have previously worked as a school nurse and are used to working with children and adolescents. Furthermore, we also see it as an advantage if you have prior experience working in PMO.

You have a health-promoting approach with the student in focus, and you work carefully and systematically. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and cooperative.
