to apply for the job

Make a difference. Every day.

Are you a nurse who wants to join us in this exciting time where we create good care for the whole family through innovative thinking and high competence? Then you are warmly welcome to become a part of our team in the neonatal department in Helsingborg!

The neonatal department belongs to the pediatric and youth care area at Helsingborg Hospital. Today, we have ten care places where we provide neonatal care/intensive care for sick and premature newborns. The department also has a well-established and well-functioning home care service and neonatal clinic. Our team consists of neonatologists/pediatricians, pediatric nurses, co-care nurses, pediatric nursing assistants, paramedical, and administrative staff. With us, the child and family are at the center. We work with the goal of creating a safe environment where children and families can be cared for together, which is why we have a close collaboration with the delivery department and the perinatal department.

In the department, we work long-term with a sustainable operation where the focus is on a good working environment within the team. In the spring of 2018, we moved into new family-friendly premises. To achieve our goals and fully adapt our working methods to the fantastic opportunities the new premises provided, we started the Co-Care project in March 2019, where families have the opportunity to be cared for together. We are very proud that in 2020 we were awarded the Diabasen by the Health and Medical Care Board for our work with this project. Diabasen is Region Skåne's award for well-executed improvement work within publicly operated healthcare. We work according to child-centered care, which means creating a safe and developmentally supportive environment for both the child and family. The care is family-centered, where parents are involved in the child's care, and siblings can also be included to reduce separation. The care is adapted to the child's needs with the goal of making the care feel personal, safe, and supportive for the whole family.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Every day is different! In my work, I have the privilege of supporting both children and parents. The best part of this workplace is the variation in the work. I work with emergency care, nursing, and medical technology. Helping mothers and fathers get to know their children is very rewarding. Together with my colleagues, we create a safe workplace with high competence as we have mixed experiences, says Moa, a nurse in the neonatal department in Helsingborg.

For us, it is important that you are interested in both emergency care and nursing, and that you have the ambition to develop and improve care by engaging in one of our areas of responsibility. To strengthen you in your profession, continuous education is offered in the form of self-study, medical technology, and medical and nursing lectures. As a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction based on your previous experiences. We assume that everyone has an individual learning process and see it as a given that you should receive support from colleagues to become confident in your new role.
