Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Care Assistant in home care, you are an important part of our clients' daily lives. You work closely with people and contribute to their safety, independence, and quality of life in their own homes. The job involves driving between clients in rural areas and providing care to individuals with both somatic needs and dementia.

Your duties include personal care, service tasks, delegated health and medical care tasks, and social support. You meet each individual with respect, attentiveness, and a person-centered approach, where the client's needs and wishes are at the center.

The work takes place in the western and northern parts of Ystad Municipality and involves close collaboration with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals. You work independently but are never alone; we are a team that supports each other and values a good working environment and high-quality care.

Your responsibilities also include the role of a designated care contact.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained Care Assistant with a protected professional title and who wants to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for our clients. Since the work involves driving between our clients in rural areas, a valid driver's license (B) is required.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and feel confident in your professional role. Experience working in home care and with individuals who have somatic needs and/or dementia is an advantage.

As a person, you are attentive, empathetic, and respectful in your interactions with others. You have the ability to create trust and safety for clients and their relatives, even in challenging situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and also find it easy to collaborate and contribute to a good team climate.
