At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for migration officers for the permit assessment units in Norrköping.

With us, you will work with current societal issues that are affected by what happens in our surroundings. Issues that concern and engage. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by meeting people and continuous learning.

At the permit assessment units, cases are handled including family reunification, EEA, self-employed individuals, researchers, and athletes, as well as other permits and work permits.

What does a migration officer do?

As a migration officer, you will handle, investigate, decide, and prepare proposals for decisions in various types of cases. The decisions have legal effects for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. In addition, you will work with administration where you manage records and documents that have been received or created in a case. In your role, you will meet and have conversations with individuals who have cases at the Migration Agency and other stakeholders. The conversations may involve informing about decisions or explaining the Migration Agency's processes, as well as guiding and providing service. You identify and address any special needs of individuals and, if applicable, hold conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, is attentive, and resolves conflicts in a constructive manner. You are clear in your communication and ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. Furthermore, you are structured and can independently plan and organize your work effectively towards set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and can easily adapt and change your perspective and approach when circumstances change.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

You who apply have
