About the Role and Your Responsibilities

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for lifeguards and swimming instructors for our outdoor pools and Högevallsbadet.

Working as a lifeguard or swimming instructor is fun and at the same time develops and challenges your leadership skills. You will utilize your good communication skills as you interact with children, youth, and adults. We strive to provide our guests with the best overall experience, and we want you to understand that all coworkers are valuable in their different roles.

The safety of our visitors in the water and at the facility is our top priority. To thrive, you need to maintain a high level of service and be passionate about providing a good reception.

Lifeguard

As a lifeguard, you ensure that our visitors have a safe and secure stay at the outdoor pools and Högevall. You will also staff the cash register where you greet and welcome visitors as they arrive at the pools.

Swimming Instructor

As a swimming instructor, you will teach swimming during fixed lesson times, and when you are not teaching, you may sometimes step in as a lifeguard or work at the cash register.

Whether you work as a lifeguard or as a swimming instructor, you will have a varied job where the tasks throughout the day vary. In addition to what has been described above, you are responsible for cleaning the facility and providing service to our guests in and around the pool or in the kiosk.

We are looking for you

For the positions of lifeguard and swimming instructor, you must be at least 18 years old, have completed high school education, and pass our work tests as outlined below:

1. Swim 200 meters followed by 50 meters of backstroke with arms above the water surface.
2. Water treading for 5 minutes with arms above the head and at the sides.
3. Length dive – swim at least 12 meters underwater.
4. Retrieve 6 rings from a depth of 1.8 or 5 meters in a single dive.
5. Perform towing, head grip, one-arm grip, and firefighter grip with correct technique.
6. Retrieve a doll from a depth of 1.8 or 5 meters.
7. Throw a lifebuoy followed by; 25 meters of swimming, diving at 1.8 meters, towing 1 person in the buoy 25 meters.
8. Rescue from the edge with correct technique.
9. Perform consciousness check, breathing check, and alerting.
10. Perform stable side position.

Our instructors will go through the tasks and explain.

If you are applying for a position as a swimming instructor, documented completion of a swimming instructor training and practical experience is required.

Regardless of which position it is, it is important that you enjoy providing service, that you like meeting new people, and that you are good at interacting with both children, youth, and adults.

It is an advantage if you are a trained pool lifeguard or have experience working at a swimming facility.

The work is scheduled at one of our outdoor pools during the summer (May-August): Källby, S Sandby, Dalby, Veberöd, and Genarp as well as at Högevall.

The positions have varying degrees of employment.

About the Recruitment Process

We will notify you soon after the application period has ended whether you have progressed. After that, we will conduct work tests, and for those who pass the work tests, interviews will also take place during the same period. To proceed in the recruitment process, you must also be able to attend one of our two mandatory training sessions that take place on May 2-3 and May 9-10.
