About the Position

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by QRIOS Life Science and work with one of our partners in the Life Science industry in Uppsala. The assignment is the initial task in your role as a consultant at QRIOS, with excellent opportunities for more assignments and continued development within our network going forward.

You will belong to an R&D organization with a clear start-to-finish responsibility, where the work ranges from early development to finished solutions for customers. The department is strongly application-oriented and works closely with both production and other functions. The team you will join focuses on developing methods for column packing, from small to large scale, and plays an important role in the development of new chromatographic solutions.

QRIOS Life Science operates throughout the Mälardalen region (from Södertälje to Uppsala), Gothenburg, and Skåne. We always consider where you, as a consultant, want to work, and our assignments are usually geographically concentrated – there is no expectation of commuting across Sweden.

Your Main Responsibilities

Develop packing methods for chromatographic columns used in protein purification
Work on method development related to both new products, marketing support, and sales support
Plan, conduct, and analyze laboratory investigations – independently and in teams
Participate in various R&D projects and collaborate cross-functionally, including with production
Contribute to defining customer needs and verifying that developed solutions meet these

Who Are You?

You are a structured and meticulous person who thrives in a laboratory-oriented R&D environment. You are a team player with good collaboration skills and find it easy to communicate with different functions. At the same time, you have your own drive, are flexible, and have the ability to deliver according to set deadlines.

Master's degree in chemistry, biotechnology, biochemical/biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or another relevant Life Science field
Some years of work experience, up to about 3 years, preferably within R&D
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

Experience in column packing
Experience with ÄKTA systems or chromatography
