Work in the reception at Norrqvarn

Norrqvarn has been an attractive tourist destination for many years during the summer, with guests both nationally and internationally coming to experience and enjoy the Göta Canal, nature, activities, good food, and create wonderful memories. Norrqvarn is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. We offer a variety of accommodations: hotel rooms, glamping tents, unique stumps, and mushrooms. The summer restaurant serves all day, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. On-site, you will also find the popular mini canal, ice cream kiosk, and bike and canoe rentals.

About the role

This is a perfect role for you who want to enter the hotel and restaurant world without it needing to be “super advanced” from the start. You will receive on-the-job training and work closely with colleagues in both the reception and restaurant. With us, you will meet many happy guests from near and far and be an important part of the experience – from the first “Hello!” to the last “Welcome back!”. The reception is open 7 days a week from morning to evening (but no nights), so working hours vary.

Examples of tasks

• Check-in and check-out, guest service, and tourist information
• Make bookings for overnight stays, restaurant, activities
• Conduct bookings for restaurant, conferences, events
• Assist with breakfast, simple serving, dishwashing, and other tasks as needed
• Handle payments in the restaurant cash register and take table reservations
• Simple orders at the bar
• Rental of bikes and canoes
• Daily checklists and maintaining order in the reception/entrance

We are looking for someone who

• Is friendly, positive, and enjoys taking care of people
• Is solution-focused even when it gets busy
• Takes responsibility and can work independently when needed
• Thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment
• Speaks Swedish and is also comfortable with English
