Mark Workshop North is a unit under the Army Staff, and you will belong to the northern department with about 180 employees, operating in Boden, Östersund, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Sollefteå, and Umeå. We perform maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation.

Main Responsibilities

As a partsman, you will work with parts preparation, ensuring and quality assurance of the basis for parts ordering, and determining whether parts should be procured through internal or external parties. You will initiate, monitor, and close customer orders in our support systems. The work also includes searching for and ordering materials, goods handling, and other warehouse management as well as inventory care. Being involved, developing, and driving Mv Umeå forward is something we see as a given.

Requirements Qualifications

  • You have at least a two- or three-year high school education in vehicle technology/industry or other education/competence acquired through work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or parts management.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • High computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Driving license B.

Meritorious

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or parts management.
  • Previous experience in technical service within the Armed Forces.
  • Training certificates for forklift, crane, wheel loader.
  • Experience working in business systems (we work in SAP).

Other

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.

Employment rate: Full-time, daytime with flexible varying working hours may be applied.

Work location: Mark Workshop North / Umeå.

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.

The work also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian position.
