About the position

As a LINUX technician at Saab, you will be a central part of the team responsible for the operation, management, and further development of our technical platforms. You will play a significant role in ensuring the availability of mission-critical systems and digital services. This is a task that places high demands on security, accuracy, and technical competence.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in operations and support, participate in projects, and drive improvement initiatives that shape Saab's IT support for the future. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop both work methods and technology in an environment where innovation and security are in focus.

Your main responsibilities

In this role, you will, among other things:

• Standardize, streamline, and automate work methods and systems.
• Participate in projects related to the technical platform.
• Work in the operations and support team with troubleshooting, installations, and incident management.
• Perform patch management and upgrades of server environments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security requirements.
• Actively contribute to technology development and improvement work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and solid experience with Linux. You thrive in a team environment, are service-oriented, and have a structured approach to work. You appreciate the breadth of the role and have a desire to continuously improve and automate processes.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience with LINUX focused on server operations.
• Good knowledge of Bash and/or Python.
• Understanding of automation-driven configuration management from a security perspective.
• A strong interest in technology and curiosity about new solutions and trends in the industry.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Red Hat, SUSE Manager, or similar platforms.
• Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• System hardening.
