The Department of Educational Support supports the university's programs at both undergraduate and advanced levels and in commissioned education. The department is also responsible for admissions and examinations, internationalization and student mobility, student recruitment support, and administrative systems such as Ladok and the admissions system NyA, as well as support for the university's quality work in education.

We also handle educational information, exam coordination, educational administration, and management of workplace-based education.

Job Responsibilities

As an exam invigilator at MDU, your responsibilities include:

• Preparation and follow-up work related to examinations
• Ensuring that examinations are conducted fairly
• Contributing to a calm and secure examination environment
• Directing students to their writing places, reading out exam rules, distributing and collecting writing materials
• Conducting identity checks and verifying that students are registered for the exam and dismissing any unauthorized individuals
• Monitoring for any misleading behavior
• Preparing for upcoming exams
• Leading and distributing tasks to other exam invigilators when working in large halls

As an exam invigilator, you are responsible for ensuring that the exam can start and be submitted correctly and on time, whether it is conducted digitally or on paper. You ensure that there is calm and order in the room and that examinations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least one year of experience working as an exam invigilator at Mälardalen University
• Worked as a lead invigilator in a large hall and has led and distributed tasks to other invigilators
• Experience working with digital exams in Inspera
• Experience being the first point of contact for questions from other invigilators
• IT skills - WIFI, installation and updating of specific programs, and knowledge of operating systems
• Can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English

For this position, it is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in training new invigilators.

You feel comfortable informing larger groups and have good collaboration skills. The role requires you to be mobile and able to move freely in the examination room for up to five hours.
