Your Role

As part of our continued growth in Aeronautics, we are now expanding our strategic purchasing and looking for several new colleagues for the Gripen business unit. As a strategic buyer, you will be responsible for developing long-term sustainable and business-oriented collaborations with our suppliers, together with the organization. You will work with the overall commercial responsibility - from strategy formulation and contracts to performance follow-up - and have close cooperation with functions such as production, development, marketing, and after-sales.

Responsibilities within the role:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies within defined areas
• Negotiate commercial terms and design supplier agreements
• Lead and coordinate supplier teams in collaboration with other functions
• Establish and further develop relationships with both new and existing suppliers
• Overall responsibility for following up and analyzing supplier performance related to cost, lead time, quality, and delivery capability
• Drive necessary initiatives purposefully and with structure

Your Profile

Regardless of where you are, we can adapt the role based on your background and experience. Together, we see that you as an applicant have:

• A post-secondary education in economics, engineering, law, or a similar field
• Interest and/or experience in project management, procurement, or contract management.
• A desire to create good collaborations and long-term relationships in cross-functional teams
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience in contract writing and negotiation in complex and international contexts. We also view positively that you have an interest and understanding of complex systems and have experience working on technical projects.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
