We are looking for a strategic buyer for a consulting assignment in the defense industry. You will be an important part of a technology-intensive and international environment where business acumen, structure, and long-term supplier relationships are central to achieving both operational goals and technical requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and developing commercial arrangements with suppliers – from strategy and contracts to follow-up and supplier development. You will collaborate cross-functionally with, for example, production, development, marketing, and after-sales.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies within defined areas
• Negotiate commercial terms and create supplier agreements
• Lead and coordinate supplier teams in collaboration with other functions
• Establish and further develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance related to cost, lead time, quality, and delivery capability
• Drive initiatives and improvement work with clear structure and objectives

• Academic degree in economics or another relevant discipline
• At least 3–7 years of experience in business-driven roles within strategic purchasing, procurement, or project management
• Strong negotiation skills in complex and international environments
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted)

• Experience from the defense, aerospace, or manufacturing industry
• Technical interest and understanding of total cost perspective over the lifecycle
• Experience working in larger organizations with cross-functional collaboration
