Your Role

Are you dreaming of a career where you can make a real difference together with engaged colleagues? We are now looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer for our section: "Project" who will play a crucial role in our organization in Aviation Services.

Today, our purchasing team in Linköping consists of over 50 people divided into four sections: Project, Aftermarket, Supply Chain, and Supply Chain Repair. Together, we have the overall responsibility to have the right material, in the right place, at the right time, at the right cost, and work closely together both internally within the purchasing team and cross-functionally within the company.

As a strategic buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that ensure high-quality deliveries to our customers while maintaining our safety requirements. In this role, you maintain and create relationships with suppliers to monitor and analyze supplier performance. Depending on the product phases, you will have direct contact with parts of Saab's corporate management, sales organization, and our design organization, which creates short decision-making paths and a strong sense of involvement. Our business is driven in project form, so you will be an important integrated part of the delivery projects we have ahead of us.

Your Profile

In this role, we see that you need to be comfortable working across many interfaces and that you have a good ability to create and maintain relationships. You are outgoing and thrive in a role where you move in various social contexts. To be successful in this role, we also see that you enjoy driving things forward, have the ability to adapt your working methods to emerging situations, and have a goal-oriented approach. It is essential that you have good analytical skills to handle complex data.

In addition to the above personal qualities, we would like you to have:

• A university degree in purchasing, logistics, or equivalent
• Several years of work experience in strategic purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Good negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
