Development Secretary for the Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration
The Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration is looking for a Development Secretary who wants to contribute to strengthening and developing our work for Malmö city's upper secondary and adult education. This position is suitable for you who are socially interested and want to work in the field of education – an area where exciting developments are currently taking place.
Job Responsibilities
As a Development Secretary, you will contribute to issues related to upper secondary school, adult education, self-sufficiency, and social sustainability at the administrative level. Therefore, we expect you to have high competence and experience in upper secondary education and the ability to handle issues at various levels. In your role, you will work with the development and follow-up of the committee's areas of responsibility within the upper secondary area, as well as manage referrals and produce well-founded statements. Handling committee matters, complaint management to the principal, and certain administrative tasks are included in the position.
Within the department and throughout the administration, we collaborate to fulfill our common mission and thereby ensure high quality in our work. It is also much more enjoyable to work together.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) in a field deemed relevant by the employer for the position
- Current experience of cross-administrative work within a politically governed organization focused on upper secondary issues
- Experience working within the field of upper secondary education
- Experience preparing materials for management group and principal decisions
- Experience analyzing, processing, and producing texts of high linguistic quality, such as decision-making materials and reports
- Experience in analysis and investigative work
- Experience in oral presentations or briefings in professional contexts
- Good digital skills
- Very good Swedish in speech and writing.
Meritorious:
- Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) with a focus on pedagogy
- Completed principal training.
In the role of Development Secretary, it is important that you have strong problem-solving analytical skills and can handle complex issues by breaking them down and finding well-founded solutions. You are service-oriented, calm, and attentive in your interactions, with a genuine interest in helping others. Flexibility and adaptability allow you to see opportunities in changes and quickly implement new information in your work. Additionally, you contribute to dialogue and good collaborations in your daily work.
About the Workplace
In the Department of Sustainability and Committee, administrative lawyers, archivists, chief registrars, committee secretaries, and investigative secretaries work together. The department works with legal advice, document and case management, handling school legal matters, and writing committee matters. In our department, cross-administrative processes and follow-up of cross-administrative goal documents are coordinated.
The Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration is one of three school administrations in Malmö city. We are responsible for the development and implementation of upper secondary school and adult education. Today, we have about 1800 employees and are present throughout Malmö. We work to ensure that young people and adults achieve their educational goals and become active members of our society. We exist to create the best possible conditions for the residents of Malmö to grow through lifelong learning.
