APL Guide for the Introduction Program (IMY) at Pauliskolan

Pauliskolan is now seeking an APL guide for the Introduction Program (IMY) with a vocational focus on the Child and Leisure Program. In this role, you will help create good conditions for workplace-based learning - an important part of students' journey towards the future. The position is a project employment that extends until the end of the autumn term 2026.

Responsibilities

More young people are seeking vocational introduction programs (IMY). This is a program focused on giving more students of high school age the opportunity to complete their education and establish themselves in the labor market more quickly.

As an APL guide, you have an important task in supporting and strengthening students before, during, and after their workplace-based learning. This occurs in collaboration with the students' teachers and supervisors. You will participate in preparatory conversations, introductions at the APL location, and provide ongoing support during the APL period. Through your role, you create good conditions for a safe and meaningful internship for the students.

You will work closely with students in the Introduction Program (IMY) with a vocational focus on the Child and Leisure Program.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed and approved high school education
• Several years of work experience in the field of children and leisure or another area that the employer deems relevant for the assignment
• Good digital competence
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment
• Experience working with youth
• Experience working within vocational programs in high school.

To thrive and succeed in the role of APL guide, you need to have a good understanding that students have different conditions for absorbing knowledge and be able to adapt your communication accordingly. You express yourself clearly and find it easy to collaborate with both students, school staff, and external actors. The work requires you to be structured - you plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks effectively and meet set deadlines. You have an inclusive approach, show respect for people's differences, and respond to everyone with sensitivity and care.
