JOB DESCRIPTION

As a night care assistant at Estrids Gård, you will work with care and medical tasks with the user in focus. You will be an important part of our team. The nature of the work places high demands on your flexibility, initiative, collaboration skills, and focus on problem-solving.

Estrids Gård is staffed with care personnel around the clock. During the night, three employees work together, where each care assistant is responsible for a department with 20-22 users. Night work involves close collaboration between departments to provide the best possible support.

As a night care assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that each user receives individually tailored care and service based on their needs and implementation plans.

Working as a night care assistant is an independent job. You start by receiving a report from the evening staff and reading in our documentation system, Viva. During the night, you have scheduled visits to certain residents, which can range from supervision to various care tasks. You will also handle medication distribution by delegation from a nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare and who has a big heart for working with people in need of support. You are a cheerful and solution-focused person who enjoys working both independently and in a team. You are empathetic, engaged, and calm, and you have a genuine interest in working with people. We are looking for a team player who can contribute to a positive and respectful work environment by understanding and respecting others' perspectives. We seek a care assistant with experience in night work within elderly care. Experience working with individuals with dementia is also an advantage. Personal qualities are of great importance.

To apply for this position, you must have:

  • Care assistant education.
  • Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare/protected professional title, the certificate must be attached to the application. Care assistant becomes a protected professional title on July 1, 2023 - Certification (socialstyrelsen.se).
  • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. As communication and documentation are important tools in our operations, this is a requirement.
  • Good computer skills, feeling comfortable using digital tools.

We will request a criminal record extract before employment can be offered. In your application, you should state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit. We are looking into the possibility of a combined position for a potential full-time employment.

We have a six-week schedule and working hours are scheduled between 21:45-07:15 and every other weekend. Within the care and support office, we have full-time as the norm. More information about what this position entails will be provided during a potential interview.
