Our Operations

We work line-based and now offer a position as a senior physician/assistant senior physician in clinical pathology. You will be one of about 40 pathologists within the Academic Laboratory's section for clinical pathology. The Academic Laboratory consists of five sections with nearly 700 employees, of which about 125 work in the section for clinical pathology. The operations are diagnostically subspecialized with well-functioning diagnostics and research and development in close collaboration with, among others, Uppsala University. Additionally, we have received several NHV areas.

Your Mission

Ongoing diagnostics and development within clinical pathology and/or cytology with a focus depending on your background and the clinic's needs. The tasks also include development work, participation in clinical rounds, and supervision of residents. Working at a university hospital may require participation in ongoing research projects.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in clinical pathology and/or cytology. Knowledge in gynecological pathology, breast pathology, gastro pathology, and transplant pathology is particularly meritorious. Academic qualifications are seen as an asset at a university hospital.

Your Competence

The work places high demands on interaction with other employees in clinical pathology, as well as with employees in other disciplines within the framework of multidisciplinary work, which is why good collaboration skills and humility are considered valuable personal qualities for the job. In this context, you work independently and have the courage to act based on your professional conviction, while being receptive in collaboration with others and handling any disagreements constructively. You are quality-conscious, meticulous, and strive to meet set goals and quality standards. You have good specialist knowledge in your field, keep it continuously updated, and serve as a knowledge resource for others. You communicate verbally in a well-formulated and engaged manner, listen in, and are receptive to the perspectives of others. Personal qualities may therefore be prioritized over other merits. Expert review will be conducted for the assessment regarding senior physician and assistant senior physician.
