Our Operations

Our field of operation includes cardiology, clinical physiology, and thoracic surgery. Within our area, there is much development and research that is exciting to be a part of!

On ward 50G, we care for patients who come to us acutely with, for example, heart rhythm disturbances, heart failure, myocardial infarction, and angina. We receive patients primarily from the emergency department but also from ambulances, our heart clinic, and day care if needed. We have a high work pace that can change quickly, but we help each other, support one another, and have fun every day!

Your Mission

As a summer substitute with us on 50G, you are part of our wonderful team. You will have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge in nursing and work with medical technology. We have clear routines and are keen to support and help each other.

Whether you are a trained nursing assistant or a nursing student from semester 3, you will become part of the care team consisting of nurses and nursing assistants. If you are a nursing student after semester 4, you can work as a nursing assistant. You will perform standard nursing assistant tasks and assist a licensed nurse in their work. When performing nursing tasks, you will always work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Delegations will be arranged on-site as needed. Examples of possible tasks under supervision include admission of acute patients, discharge conversations, documentation in Cosmic, sampling, participating in rounds, coordination functions, conducting risk assessments and actions, IV placement, catheter placement, and EKG. Other possible tasks that must always be checked and signed by a licensed nurse include medication management, such as mixing IV fluids and administering medications. Sometimes you may also go beyond your care team and support staff as a resource.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant or a nursing student from semester 3 for work with nursing assistant tasks or nursing students after semester 4 for work as a nursing assistant assisting a nurse. You have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing and preferably experience working in hospital care, such as blood sampling, blood pressure measurement, and catheter placement. Previous experience in cardiology care is valued.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing and preferably experience in, among other things, blood sampling, blood pressure measurement, and catheter placement. You have a great interest in both cardiac care and general nursing. You have a good attitude and can work both independently and in a team with varying work pace. Furthermore, it is important that you enjoy working with people and have good collaboration and communication skills.

We Offer

We offer you a temporary position for summer 2026 with a start date according to agreement. We prefer that you can work the entire summer period from week 25-33, and you are welcome to start the introduction earlier. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends with a working degree that can be discussed.
