JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a school nurse for a 50% temporary position at Westerlundska High School. Enköping applies a structured student health approach where you will be part of a student health team. The team includes another school nurse, a school psychologist, four counselors, and five study and career advisors. Your tasks include conducting health conversations/checks, enrollment interviews, and vaccinations according to the basic program for our students. In collaboration with school management and other school staff, student health plays an important supportive role in creating good conditions for young people's health, learning, and development. All students, regardless of personal circumstances, should be given the opportunity to reach their goals and develop as far as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse with further education in open health and medical care for children and youth, district nurse, or have further education for school nurses. Previous experience as a school nurse is considered an advantage. The position also requires that you are accustomed to working with a computer as a work tool. We use the Prorenata journal system.

You can:

• Work independently but also collaboratively with your team.
• Build good relationships with students and staff. You listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively and are meticulous with documentation and confidentiality.
• Be secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You see relationships in the right perspective, differentiate between the personal and the professional, and adapt your behavior according to the situation.
• Empathize with others' perspectives or situations without taking over their feelings.
