Care Assistant with Coordinator Responsibility at Solsången Care Home

Are you a driven care assistant who enjoys a varied job? Then this might be the job for you! The Health and Care Administration of Östersund Municipality is now looking for a care assistant with coordinator responsibility for Solsången care home. It is a small and cozy special accommodation located in the heart of Körfältet within walking distance to Östersund city center. There are three departments with a total of 21 apartments. Each department has a common area for meals, activities, and social interaction. The inner courtyard also features a shared outdoor area. Solsången is characterized by a family atmosphere and offers proximity to a beautiful and easily accessible outdoor environment.

You will be employed as a care assistant full-time but will have coordinator responsibility that is extended annually. Working hours are during weekdays.

Your New Job

As a care assistant with coordinator responsibility, you will be part of the unit's management team and have a central role in planning and organizing the daily work. This includes scheduling, staffing, supporting care staff in their work, booking training, and planning for and booking substitutes during absences. If necessary, you will also support the daily care work at the accommodation.

You will collaborate with care assistants, nursing aides, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, unit managers, and sector administrators. The role requires you to enjoy having many social contacts as you will have continuous contact with citizens and their relatives and coordinate with other services that affect the citizens. Another important task is to administer various operational systems.

Common Tasks

  • Staffing and scheduling according to legislation and received financial frameworks, as well as planning for different types of absences
  • Plan and ensure a good introduction for new employees, interns, and summer workers
  • Care work
  • Participate in citizens' move-in and move-out
  • Be involved in the unit's management group
  • Support and guide staff in various roles
  • Establish and revise the unit's routines
  • Create and maintain good relationships with employees, citizens, and relatives
  • Participate in the unit's operational planning and monthly follow-ups
  • The unit manager may delegate other tasks as well.

Your Competence

Requirements

  • Trained care assistant
  • 3 years of work experience in healthcare
  • Good computer skills
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

  • Experience in leading staff groups
  • Experience in administrative work, preferably operational planning and coordination
  • Experience in delegated care interventions
