Care Assistant at Ginstgården

Do you want to work on adding a golden touch to every day? Then you will thrive at Ginstgården, where we create quality of life for our elderly through safe housing and a daily life filled with meaningful activities.

Ginstgården is operated by Bräcke diakoni, a non-profit organization that works for a more humane society. For us, this means care where we work long-term, with consideration and responsibility for each person we meet.

We are now looking for a care assistant who wants to be part of our team.

Your Role

As a care assistant, you are an important source of security for the residents at Ginstgården, who have cognitive illnesses. You provide support so that they can utilize their abilities and make their daily lives function in the best possible way. In your work, you are an active bearer of our vision: that every meeting should be characterized by attentiveness, equality, and co-creation.

Your role also includes:

  • supporting residents in routines and daily life,
  • encouraging and participating in meaningful activities,
  • participating in the work with BPSD and Senior Alert,
  • being responsible for delegated tasks in consultation with a nurse,
  • contributing to a work environment with support, reflection, and learning.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and who meets people with warmth and respect. As part of our team, it is important that you share the view of each individual as equal regardless of background, age, or illness. You are proactive and have an interest in contributing to meaningful activities that create community and well-being for the residents.

Qualifications

  • Training as a care assistant, with a protected professional title.
  • Experience in close care work.
  • Experience working with individuals with cognitive illnesses (dementia).
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, in documentation and in close interactions with residents and their relatives.

We always start from the healthy and aim to provide our residents with a good aging experience, where every meeting reflects the care and values that characterize us. Therefore, we focus on offering well-prepared meals, using music, and participating in activities that give meaning to the daily lives of both residents and staff.
