We are looking for a personal assistant on behalf of our client, a 12-year-old boy with extensive multi-functional disabilities. He needs personal assistants who can help him with most things. He has very low ability for voluntary movements and requires assistance with the preparation and initiation of tube feeding, which then feeds him slowly for the majority of the day. Sometimes the boy needs oxygen, and he always needs your watchful eye to ensure his breathing is functioning well.

Several times a day, there are diaper changes, and you assist him with daily hygiene related to gastrostomy and jejunostomy, medications, inhalers, showering, PEP mask, suctioning, and constant monitoring of his health due to respiratory issues, mucus production, and epilepsy.

Apart from all the care the boy needs, we also want you to be a child-loving person who sees the individual behind the care needs. He needs kind, gentle, and caring people in his life. He should be able to experience the world according to his abilities, and you are his key! Help him with what his body cannot manage so that he can also experience everything that others take for granted.

• We expect you to have experience with some or all of the above medical diagnoses and/or aids to qualify for the job.
• We also see that you describe yourself as punctual, very meticulous, and able to easily absorb instructions and read routines.
• We want you to be able to work the hours described below and sometimes be available to fill in for colleagues who are sick.

Position: approximately 75% varying day and awake night.
Daytime: approximately 07:30-15:00
Evening: approximately 15:00-21:00
Some days may be 07:30- approximately 18:00 if regular staff are sick.
