Within ILS Design, we continuously work to develop and improve Gripen E/F from an ILS perspective by consistently working with feedback from our customers. In development and design, we ensure a sustainable maintenance solution for Gripen and other products and support underlying systems with methodologies and practices. We are also responsible for digitizing the maintenance plan for the new Gripen E/F with modern tools, including 3D instructions.

Your Role

As an ILS engineer, you will work on developing and designing the maintenance system for Gripen E/F. The tasks will range from analysis to realization of technical information, which will give you the opportunity to build a broad knowledge within all areas of the flight system. Based on experience, knowledge, and interest, there is an opportunity to tailor the role. You will be part of a wonderful team with extensive experience and competence, who support and coach each other in daily work.

Responsibilities:

• Build system competence around Gripen and gradually take more responsibility in your own investigations.
• Work closely with both internal system teams and external operators focusing on operational reliability, availability, and operational effectiveness.
• Drive assignments and subprojects within the section and have the opportunity to influence both deliveries and working methods.
• Analyze operational experiences to improve the maintenance system to increase availability for our customers.
• Work on technical and process-related investigations related to the flight system.
• Drive innovation by identifying improvement opportunities within our ILS processes.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone interested in ILS and who wants to be part of an exciting journey to prepare us for completing the development and delivery of Gripen E/F, handling feedback from operations for Gripen, both C/D and E/F, as well as developing future products.

• You either have a high school diploma or a university degree and have a few years of experience in development work or project management. It is a big plus if you have experience working with technical publications or aircraft maintenance.
• You are analytical, can assess technology and costs, and easily create a holistic view.
• You are outgoing and communicative as the role involves many contacts both internally and externally.
• You are proactive, take great personal responsibility, are organized, and curious!
• Our documentation is primarily in English, so you need to be proficient in both English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
