WeStaff Sweden is now looking for a production engineer / quality technician for an innovative manufacturing company in northern Stockholm. The role is suitable for you if you are an industrial engineer, production engineer, quality technician, measurement technician, or CMM technician and want to work closely with production in a technically advanced environment.

You will have a broad and responsible role where you become an important link between production, quality, design, and development, working closely with operators, team leaders, technicians, and management to drive improvements throughout the manufacturing chain.

What does the job entail?

In this role, you will work on developing, streamlining, and quality-assuring production processes in sheet metal processing, welding, assembly, and electrical connections. You will have a clear focus on quality, measurement technology, and process control and be a key person in the company's improvement and quality work.

Examples of tasks

• Work on production engineering and quality-related improvements with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

• Drive and participate in improvement work according to LEAN methodology (5S, SMED, Poka Yoke, Fishbone, etc.)

• Work with measurement technology, tolerances, and quality assurance in production

• Perform and analyze measurements, including work with CMM measuring machines

• Support production and team leaders in case of deviations

• Participate in quality complaints, root cause analyses, and corrective actions

• Review, develop, and document working methods, manufacturing processes, and work instructions

• Collaborate with the design department regarding drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing methods

• Participate in planning maintenance, calibration, and verification of measuring equipment

• Ensure that routines, standards, and guidelines are followed and further developed

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with an engineering or technician background who thrives in the intersection of production, quality, and technology. You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented, while also being communicative and easy to collaborate with different functions in the organization.

We would like you to have

• A background as an industrial engineer, production engineer, quality technician/engineer, measurement technician, or CMM technician

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or the engineering industry

• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings (mechanical drawings and tolerances)

• Experience in measurement technology, measuring equipment, and quality controls

• Experience with CMM measurement and measurement programs (desirable but highly sought after)

• Practical understanding of sheet metal processing, welding, and assembly

• Experience with ERP/MPS systems

• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Driver's license and access to a car

Meritorious (but not required)

• Documented experience in LEAN and continuous improvements

• Experience in calibrating measuring equipment

• Knowledge in automation

• Experience in laser welding

• Electrical engineering competence

• Post-secondary education in production, quality, or industrial engineering

• Start: Immediately

• Scope: Full-time, Monday–Friday daytime
