About the Assignment

We are now looking for a senior Release Train Engineer (RTE) for an assignment in the development of embedded electrical systems. The role is central to ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery within an Agile Release Train (ART) in a complex product development environment.

As an RTE, you will work closely with the Product Manager and Architect to coordinate teams, manage dependencies, and ensure that deliveries occur according to established development models and processes. The assignment is suitable for you who have solid experience in large-scale agile development and thrive in a role with significant responsibility for flow, structure, and coordination.

Responsibilities

In the role of Release Train Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and facilitating PI Planning, iterations, and synchronization between teams
• Ensuring pre-PI readiness and following up and communicating after completed PI
• Maintaining and tracking ART-level plans, boards, and KPIs
• Driving improvements in delivery flow and supporting teams in removing obstacles and managing dependencies
• Facilitating system demos and integration activities
• Supporting the development and tracking of roadmaps together with the Product Manager and Architect
• Tracking milestones and escalating deviations as needed
• Leading risk management and ensuring transparency regarding risks and dependencies
• Driving retrospectives and continuous improvements at the ART level

Required Qualifications

To be considered for the assignment, you need to have:

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, Chief Scrum Master, or Agile Program Manager
• Experience in large-scale agile development, preferably in product development
• Practical experience with SAFe or similar frameworks for scaled agile development
• Experience from development environments within embedded systems
• Good understanding of agile planning, dependency management, and delivery control
• Very good knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Good ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing
• Relevant post-secondary education in IT or engineering

Meritorious

• Experience as a Chief Scrum Master or Agile Program Manager
• Experience from embedded development in automotive or industrial environments
• Knowledge of hybrid or gated development models
• Good knowledge of Swedish
