Engineer with a focus on product legislation wanted
Have you recently graduated with an engineering degree and are ready to make a change? Our client is looking for someone who wants to be the spider in the web between technology and legislation to shape the future of safe products in an international market.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Our client is a world-leading player in innovative water solutions, working to solve the world's most pressing water and environmental challenges. With a presence in over 150 countries, they develop groundbreaking technology for everything from efficient water purification and transport to smart resource analysis.
In this key role, you will ensure that our client's products meet complex international legal requirements. You will coordinate certification processes internally and externally, act as a subject matter expert in product legislation issues, and help educate and support colleagues on regulatory compliance for industrial products. This makes you a central link between product development and manufacturing, both in development projects and in daily work. You will be the spider in the web and have contact with all parts of the company. You will primarily work with products and processes related to explosion safety but are expected to come into contact with other areas such as electrical safety and machinery safety.
This is an initial two-year consulting assignment with good opportunities for permanent employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to technical questions regarding legal requirements and standards from internal departments and external parties (Sustaining support).
- Coordinate and maintain product certificates and type approvals with independent third-party organizations.
- Compile technical changes and present them to external approval bodies.
- Support development projects by ensuring that requirements for external approvals are understood and met.
- Coordinate testing internally and externally to verify product compliance.
- Train and guide colleagues on product safety issues and relevant standards.
- Contribute to maintaining and administering existing certifications and approvals.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
- Are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Have good knowledge of the Office suite.
It is an advantage if you have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in product safety, regulatory compliance for industrial products, or machine design.
- Experience with Windchill or Creo.
